We're off on another adventure. Today Queen Josie is taking us on a train ride to San Juan Capistrano, and we're having a tea party at The Tea House on Los Rios. The weather is perfect, and we're ready for a truly fun day.
Nancy, Leslie, Carol N, Kathy, Josie, our guest Carol K (and Joy who's taking the photo)
are ready to board the train at Corona Main Station
(Seema hopped on at another station, and Debbie met us at The Tea House)
The train ride was fun, and once we arrived in San Juan Capistrano, we had some time to kill before our tea party, so we took a little stroll up and down Los Rios Street. Most of the little houses along the street are not only quaint little shops, but the owners also live on the premises. And the little gardens out front are so pretty.
We had fun enjoying all the pretty sights along Los Rios Street.
We still had a little time so we decided to explore the O'Neill Museum. This wooden house was built in the 1880's and is one of the first wooden buildings in the area. It was moved from it's original location across the train tracks and about a block south, and was restored in 1979. It now acts as the San Juan Capistrano Historical Society and showcases items from days gone-bye.

Finally, it was time for our Tea Party!

Once inside, we were seated around a long table that almost filled the room. Each cup and saucer was unique as were the plates, tea pots, and water glasses. The little sandwiches were very cute, and the little desserts were yummy. And who doesn't need a piano in the restroom?

After our party, we hopped back on the train and headed for home. This was such a nice day. Thank you Queen Josie for inviting us to tea! We had a blast!
